Our founder and podiatrist Dr. Les Appel recognized the need for affordable orthotics with a custom feel that you can get without a prescription. Upon seeing a pattern in the custom orthotics he prescribed to his patients, Dr. Appel used his knowledge of the foot anatomy and his passion for running to create the first PowerStep® insoles.

Today, we continue to innovate and develop PowerStep products from orthotic insoles to footwear and more. Bringing pain relief and prevention to everyone who needs it, we make it our goal to help people prevent pain from common foot conditions and lead active, healthy lifestyles.
